After a chaotic week, the greater Team Awesome contingent came together for a goodbye breakfast and the World Cup Football Final at Local in Kits. While the Road Trip Team weren't exactly packed, and hadn't shipped any of their belongings across the country to meet them in Ottawa, momentum was building in varying degrees for their departure later on that afternoon. After much help from the entire Team Awesome crew and pushing the clock at 5pm, Team Awesome Across Canada finally left their beloved city of Vancouver. First stop - Kelowna, where we stayed in a modern day Castle thanks to Bree's brother Mark (aka Fisho) and his wonderful landlord Batesy. To Amin's surprise, and Sacha and Allie's delight, we were surrounded by 10 half naked Australians who lived in the house. We got there around 10pm, where things were just getting started for a massive Dead Mouse after party that would end at 8 in the morning. Team Awesome participated from afar - with visitors to our room throughout the night – however after week long chaos in the lead up to the road trip, we slept through most of it (actually all of it).
